YORK: Playback legend Asha Bhosle and Pandit
Ravi Shankar's daughters Anoushka and Norah Jones
have been nominated for the prestigious Grammy
Awards 2005.
The 72-year-old legend and Anoushka has been
nominated in the category of 'best contemporary
world music album.'
Norah Jones, Anoushka's half sister, is in
contention for the 'best pop collaboration with
vocals' category in nominations announced last
night.
Asha Bhosle's album in collaboration with Kronos
Quartet titled 'You've Stolen My Heart- Songs From R
D Burman's Bollywood' is in the race on category 73.
Anoushka is in contention in the same category for
the album 'Rise', while Norah is placed in category
8 for 'Viriginia Moon', a collaborative album with
Foo Fighers.
