The story of Taare
Zameen Par dissolves the mind of young children
who are bounded by the pressures of life.
Eight-year old Ishaan Awasthi’s (Darsheel Safary
) life is not moving in the right direction, at
least for him. He is bogged down with the
constant pressures of performing well in the
class. For Ishaan, life is more than just a mark
sheet. He likes kites, fishes, shiny objects,
spaceships and ice golas.
After receiving a complaint about Ishaan, his
father Nandkishore Awasthi (Vipin Sharma)
decides to pack Ishaan off to a boarding school.
Maya (Tisca Chopra), Ishaan’s mother adores her
son but agrees to send her son away from her,
thinking it would do some good to Ishaan.
For Ishaan, things get worsen as now he has to
bear the separation of his family along with his
other woes.
In the boarding school, things fail to improve
until an art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh enters
the scene and imbibes the culture of work with
fun in the kids. Except Ishaan, the entire class
responds to his ideas, making Nikumbh wonder
about the kid’s psychology.
After exploring Ishaan’s problem, Nikumbh
decides to bring in some delight to Ishaan’
life. |
